The Island is famous for its Komodo Dragons, called "ora” by the local people, Komodo is a small island of two hundred and eighty square kilometers, located between Sumbawa and Flores. Komodo Island is now a nature reserve, home to a number of rare bird species, deer, and wild pigs. This trip is made for embarkation and disembarkation through Bima.
Day 1: Arrival Bima (SUMBAWA ISLAND)
Include: Lunch, Dinner and Accommodation in Bima.
Upon arrival at Salahuddin Airport of Bima we will provide meeting service and then transfer to hotel for accommodation and lunch. In the afternoon we will provide Bima sightseeing to visit visit Donggo traditional Bimanese village to get to know their way of life, beliefs, custom and culture. After the visit we will return to Hotel.
Day 2: Bima to Komodo Island
Include: Breakfast at hotel, Lunch, Dinner and Accommodation on-board house boat.
In the morning it will be a short drive of 40 km from Bima going to Sape harbor, from here on board a wooden house boat (a local boat which have been modified to enable and suitable for carrying tourist, equipped by radio navigation, electricity, and toilet, one big cabin that has-6 - 12 beds, life jacket and mattress.) Then boating to Komodo Island for 4 hours passing some islands and upon available enjoy the attraction of dolphins in front of your boat. Late afternoon arrive at Komodo Island.
Day 3: Komodo Island return to Bima
Include: Breakfast and Lunch on-board house boat, Dinner and Accommodation in Bima.
In the morning the trip continues to home to the dragons on Komodo island. The safari starts by half an hour walk (2km) to Banunggulung. The KOMODO DRAGONS which are scientifically described in 1912 as VARANUS KOMODOENSIS can grow up to 3 meters long. It is estimated that there are 5000 lizards on Komodo, Rinca and Padar Island. After the visit return to base and have the opportunity to swim or snorkel on clean and white sandy beach. In the afternoon sail back to Sape and then drive back to Bima for overnight accommodation.
Day 4: Bima Departure
Include: Breakfast at Hotel.
Morning will be free at own leisure, until due time for departure we will provide transfer to the airport for flight departure to other onward destination.
