The excitement of Belitung is mostly connected to the geopark site; among the many beautiful objects in Belitung, these two should be considered the highlights of Belitung.
One of them is Bukit Peramun Hill, a site that is a tropical forest consisting of 149 species of medicinal herbs. The other one is Tanjung Tinggi Beach, indeed an exciting place for picture taking; we may climb from one granite stone to the others of various sizes, different locations giving different beautiful views, and really Instagrammable.
Itinerary
Pick-up service, then we will start the excursion, driving straight to Bukit Peramun hill. After having a little time to relax, we will start the soft trekking; it will be about a 515-meter trek to reach the top of the hill. The first 400 meters will be hiking with 5 5-degree slope; the rest 115 meters will be climbing with 30 30-degree slope. The fresh air and the photo spot with its beautiful view are really exciting.
When quiet, we may have a chance to see tarsiers, the world's smallest monkey, hanging in the trees. After trekking, we will rejoin our coach, and a short stop will be made at a small historical Guan Yin Temple. It is really a history showing the diversity of Indonesia, as the temple was built at the same time as the oldest temple in Belitung was also built. The people and the workers are sharing and doing ‘gotong royong’ (=working together), building these 2 worship places.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will drive to the next highlight of Belitung, Tanjung Tinggi beach. It has fine white sand like flour.
This beach is surrounded by granite rocks forming the bay at the west end, so it makes a very interesting panorama. We may climb from one granite stone to the others of various sizes, in different locations, giving different beautiful views and really Instagrammable. In the middle of those granite rocks lies the white sandy beach, and it is so nice to swim at the quiet wave beach.
After the visit, rejoin our coach; we will provide the return transfer to your hotel.
