This long full-day excursion will visit the object in the city of Bandung in West Java. The icon of this excursion is visiting the famous Tangkuban Perahu Crater, then we will visit the Ciater Hot Spring resort to enjoy swimming in warm sulfurous water pools that can heal rheumatism and skin problems. The last visit will be to do some shopping at the textile outlet.
Pick-up service in the morning, then we will depart from Jakarta to go to Bandung. After about 2.5 hours of driving on the highway, we will arrive in Bandung and then drive another hour to head to the rim of Tangkuban Perahu Volcano. Another visit will be to Ciater Hot Springs and a thermal spa. In the afternoon, have some time to do shopping at the textile outlet, then drive back to Jakarta.
Bandung is located about 180 kilometers southeast of Jakarta. The city is situated on a plateau 768 meters above sea level, with a nice, cool climate throughout the year.
Tangkuban Perahu is a volcano with three craters through which tourists can walk. These three craters are Kawah Ratu ("Queen Crater"), Kawah Domas ("Domas Crater"), and Kawah Upas ("Upas Crater"). The most beautiful part of the Crater is seeing the Kawah Ratu, we can drive up to the rim of the crater and enjoy the incredible scenery. Visitors can only go down into the Domes Crater, where many hot geysers in which they can boil eggs.
Ciater Hot Spring is a nice park with small pools in which we can sit or swim. The streams and pools are fed by warm mineral springs, which are created by the heat from nearby volcanoes. Ciater is a little place in the middle of a huge tea estate. Its main attraction is the Sari Ater Hot Spring Resort; the pools are probably the best of all the hot springs around Bandung. We can enjoy swimming in warm sulfurous water pools that can heal rheumatism and skin problems.
