Have an interesting yet unforgettable adventure on the island of Sumatra by visiting one of its cities, the city of Medan! Located in North Sumatra, this city is the fifth-most populous city in Indonesia. On this tour, we will invite you to visit places with very interesting histories and stories in Medan city.

Historical places in Medan that will be visited in this program include: Maimun Palace, Al-Mashun mosque, Gunung Timur Temple, Graha Maria Annai Velangkani, also known as the "Our Lady of Good Health Church", and several others. Don't forget to take a picture during your travel!

After the pick-up service, we will start the excursion, driving to the Maimoon Palace of Medan. The Maimoon Palace is also known as "The Yellow Palace", where the color yellow is one of the Royal Malay constructions' identities. The palace was built by Sultan Ma'mun Al Rashid Perkasa Alamyah from the year of 1887 to 1891. This palace served as the center of the Sultanate of Deli during that era. Right now, some parts of the palace are open to the public, where it has been turned into a museum.

One of the attractions in the Maiomoon Palace of Medan is that visitors are allowed to dress up in royal garb and any other clothes from the Sultanate era for a small fee, and can take photos in the throne room.

We will proceed with the tour by visiting the Masjid Raya Medan, or known by the local people as the Medan Great Mosque or Al-Mashun Mosque. This enormous octagonal-shaped mosque was built in 1906 during the era of the Malay Muslim Deli Kingdom, serving as Medan's main mosque and considered the prettiest in Medan City.

Continuing our journey in this tour, we will visit the Chinese Temple of East Mountain, a Mahayana Buddhist temple which portrays the cultural heritage of Chinese descendants in Medan City. Next, we will bring you to the Maria Annai Velangkani, known as "Our Lady of Good Health", a Catholic Church built in the design of an Indian temple.

Last but not least, we will stop at Tjong A Fie Mansion, a famous two-story mansion which was built by the renowned Hakka merchant named Tjong A Fie. He owned a certain amount of land in Medan through his plantations, later went on to become 'Majoor der Chineezen' (leader of the Chinese) in Medan, and constructed the Medan-Belawan railway.

Our last stop will be visiting the home industry of the Sirup Markisa Family Noerlen. On this site, we will be able to see and learn the process of making Markisa / Maracuja / Passionfruit syrup. Before we leave this place, we will be able to try signature traditional coffees or the kopi tubruk and frozen avocado coffee. Lastly, we will transfer you back to the hotel.
