Visit northern Bali, a part of Bali that many people never see. Our destination is Singaraja, at one time the capital of Bali and its main trading port. As such, Singaraja has an eclectic mix of Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist culture wrapped in Dutch colonial trappings.
On the way, visit Bedugul and Ulun Danu, the lovely Water Temple built on a small headland jutting into Lake Beratan. Candi Kuning, an exotic fruit and flower market.
Proceed to drive up to the Git Git waterfall to take a short walk through the. Lunch is served at Lovina Beach before proceeding to Banjar, a magical hot spring.
The return trip takes you along a little-used road via Pupuan, through coffee plantations and beautiful rice terraces.
Set high in the central mountain range in west Bali, Lake Bratan has sparkling blue waters set against lush green hills. At 1,400 meters above sea level, it experiences a much cooler climate than the coastal plains. On the shore of the lake is the temple complex of Pura Teratai Bang, associated with different aspects of Bali's creation.
