Highlight: Ride a boat to the Island, Visit the Island of Barrang Lompo, Visit the Island of Samalona, Visit Fort Rotterdam, and Paotere
Pick up service in the morning, then transfer to the pier and ride a boat across to the island. The first destination will be the island of Barrang Lompo, approximately a 1-hour trip.
This island is inhabited by approximately 400 people who live as silversmiths, producing fine filigree ornaments. After the short visit, leave for the island of Samalona, a small coral island for swimming and snorkeling (rental equipment is available).
A lunch box will be provided upon request. By noon, back to Makassar to visit Fort Rotterdam and Paotere, the port of the traditional famous Phinisi boat. After the visit, return to the Hotel.
Samalona is a small island in the Straits of Makassar. This small island is a nautical tourist destination visited by many local and foreign visitors. White sand and crystal clear water make this island perfect for sunbathing. In addition, this island is a very good area for diving because of its coral reefs inhabited by diverse marine tropical fish, colorful, and more marine biota.
