The excursion will visit Banyumulek, famous for its traditional pottery, and Sukarare village, renowned for its traditional hand weaving of brightly patterned songket, ikat, and sarong cloth. Proceed to Sengkol and Rambitan, the native Sasak village with its traditional hyperbolic-shaped huts. Our last visit will be Tanjung Aan, the most beautiful part of Kuta beach. It is a white sandy beach with hilly bays, the best seascape scenery in Lombok.
Banyumulek is one of Lombok's main pottery producing villages and probably the best as far as seeing and understanding the unique Lombok pottery making process. With the increased volume of production due to export demands. It is now necessary for men to join in the production process. It used to be that the woman produced the pots and the man marketed them.
