This full-day excursion will visit the Angkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve. This is a spectacular area, which offers the possibility to see not unique animals such as monkeys, birds, Tarcius spectrum (claimed to be the smallest monkey in the world), butterflies, and tropical plants, but also a wealth of corals and fish. This tour begins early in the morning and is guided by a local ranger of the nature reserve.
Tangkoko Batuangus Nature Reserve is located at the foot of Dua Saudara Mountain in the northern sector of Bitung harbor, and comprises an area of 3,196 Ha, and takes about 1.5 -2.5 hours to reach from Bitung or Manado. The area is comprised of rolling hills and valleys with a variety of hardwood trees and unusual plant life. It offers a suitable protective environment to help prevent these animals from becoming extinct.
