Central Kalimantan Orangutan Discovery Tour

This package is a special interest tour to visit Tanjung Putting and Camp Leaky of Central Kalimantan Orangutan National Reserve. The orangutans are two species of great apes known for their intelligence, long arms, and reddish-brown hair. Native to Indonesia and Malaysia, they are currently found only in rainforests on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra.

Day 01: Arrival Pangkalan Bun to Tanjung Puting

Include Dinner and accommodation on board the houseboat or at a simple eco-lodge in Tanjung Puting

Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport of Banjarmasin, we will provide a meeting service and then transfer to Kumai Port to board the boat. Cruise up the river to explore the wildlife along the Seikonyer River. Late in the afternoon, you will have a chance to see proboscis monkeys and other primates found along the river sides. Arriving at Tanjung Putting and accommodation will be provided onboard a boat or a simple eco-lodge.

Day 02: Tanjung Putting to Camp Leaky

Include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Accommodation onboard a houseboat or at a simple eco-lodge in Camp Leaky.

In the morning, the program will be cruising up the river to Pondok Tanggui station to arrive there by 10:00 a.m. for the feeding time. Then proceed to Camp Leaky station to arrive there by 02:00 p.m. for the feeding time. In the afternoon, there will be a chance to enjoy a beautiful sunset with a view of the rainforest along the river. Accommodation will be provided on board a boat or a simple eco-lodge.

Day 03: Camp Leaky to Pangkalan Bun

Include Breakfast onboard the houseboat.

Morning returning to Kumai Port and continuing to the airport for the flight departure back to Pangkalan Bun, connecting to other onward destinations.
