This classic package is the most interesting and complete overland tour from Jakarta to the North of Bali. Featuring Bogor, the neighboring city of Jakarta, and Bandung, the capital city of West Java Province, enjoy riding the local train from West Java to Central Java.
In Central Java, featuring Dieng Plateau and Yogyakarta, and then in East Java, will be the magnificent Mt. Bromo and the plantation resort in Kalibaru.
Day 1: Jakarta to Bandung
Include: Lunch at a Local Restaurant and Accommodation in Bandung.
Private Tour Pick up service at 09:00 at any hotel where you stay in Jakarta. Leaving Jakarta to Bogor, visit the famed Botanical Garden before proceeding to Puncak, where a visit to one of the many tea plantations has been arranged. Following luncheon, pass the summer Presidential Palace (1750) at Cipanas and continue to Bandung.
Day 2: Bandung Full-Day Sightseeing
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, Lunch at a Local Restaurant, and Accommodation in Bandung.
A full day tour to explore the area around Bandung and the city itself, including a visit to Tangkuban Perahu (which means hulk of overturned boat), a volcano, where we can drive right up to the rim to see the breathtaking view of the active volcano and its smoldering crater. Continue our journey to Ciater with its hot spring of sulfured water, good for healing rheumatism and skin problems.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Angklung Music School Udjo to see the Angklung Orchestra performance by school children of different ages.
Day 3: Bandung to Wonosobo
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, Picnic Lunch during the train ride, and Accommodation in Wonosobo.
Early mornings after breakfast, transfer to the train station to ride the train to Kroya. From here, the journey will continue for approximately a 2-hour drive to Wonosobo for an overnight.
Day 4: Wonosobo to Yogyakarta
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, Lunch at a Local Restaurant, and Accommodation in Yogyakarta.
In the morning will be a half day to explore Dieng Plateau with interesting scenery along the journey, seeing dramatic Mountain views. The excursion will visit Pendawa Lima Temples and Sikidang Crater. After lunch, the visit will be to the magnificent Borobudur, "the Buddhist Monastery on the hill". Then proceed to Yogyakarta for an overnight.
Day 5: Yogyakarta full day Sightseeing
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, Lunch and Dinner at a Local Restaurant, and Accommodation in Yogyakarta.
A full-day excursion will explore the rich life of Yogyakarta. In the morning will visit Kraton Yogyakarta “Sultan Palace”, the traditional batik home industry, and Kota Gede, the original home of Yogya‘s silver. Also visit Prambanan, the temple of the “Slender Virgin,” considered to be Java's most elegant Hindu temple.
In the evening, enjoy a complete buffet dinner serving Indonesian Cuisine and continue with Ramayana Dance Performance, seeing the epic from the Hindu philosophy.
Day 6: Yogyakarta to Malang
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, Lunch at a Local Restaurant, and Accommodation in Malang.
Begin with a visit to Yogya's sister city of Solo (formerly Surakarta) and the Kraton Mangkunegaran. Continue across East Java, home to 32 million people, an area of natural beauty.
Day 7: Malang to Mt. Bromo
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, lunch at a Local Restaurant, and accommodation at the slope of Mt. Bromo.
In the morning will be free at your own leisure.
In the afternoon, leisurely drive to Tosari, the slope of Mt. Bromo, passing through Ijen Boulevard, which is already famous since colonial times, and a visit will be made to Singosari Temple. Then a leisurely will be driving straight to Tosari, the slope of Mt. Bromo.
Day 8: Bromo to Kalibaru
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, lunch at a Local Restaurant, and accommodation in Kalibaru.
An early morning! It will be a journey with a 4-wheel drive jeep, horseback, upward to Mt. Bromo, and experience the chance to view the magnificence of sunrise over Java. This apocalyptic-like experience will richly reward the efforts of rising before dawn. In the afternoon will be driving to Kalibaru plantation resort for an overnight.
Day 9: Kalibaru to Lovina; North of Bali
Include: Breakfast in the Hotel, Lunch at a Local Restaurant, and Accommodation in Lovina.
In the morning will be free at our leisure, have a nice walk to the plantation around the hotel. In the afternoon, driving to Bali island, passing Ketapang, and riding the ferry to cross the Bali Strait to reach Gilimanuk. From here, we will provide a transfer to the Hotel in Lovina Beach Resort.
