This package is providing the cultural interest of South Kalimantan (Borneo), the tour Will be starting with a short morning river tour for the floating market, and also include seeing the traditional diamond mining. This package is specially designed for those doing the Central Kalimantan Orangutan Discovery using flight via Banjarmasin which cannot connect directly to Java.
Day 01: Arrival Banjarmasin to Loksado
Include Lunch at a Local Restaurant, Dinner, and Accommodation at a Simple Lodge in Loksado.
Upon your arrival at Syamsuddin Noor Airport of Banjarmasin, you are met and transferred to the diamond mining field to watch people working to search for raw diamonds in a very simple way and traditionally. Then visit the Diamond workshop where some craftsmen create their art to produce jewelry in various designs. After that, we go to Martapura Town to visit Diamond & Precious Stone Gallery, then to Precious Stone Shopping Centre of Cahaya Bumi Selamat.
Many choices of jewelry and other local souvenirs are offered through many shops making your shopping a lovely and memorable one. After that, we drive to Loksado for about 3 hours, accommodation at Amandit River Lodge.
Day 02: Bamboo Rafting tour
Include Breakfast at the lodge, Lunch at a Local Restaurant, Dinner, and Accommodation at a Simple Lodge in Loksado.
After breakfast visits Malaris Grand Longhouse of Meratus Dayak. You are escorted to enter a forest with various Tropical vegetation and a lot of fruit trees. If possible you also may try to ride a motorcycle crossing the jungle to reach Haratai Waterfall, after that, we go to Loksado and start rafting through Amandit River for about 3 hours which is maneuvered by Dayak rafter safely. Stop the raft then return to the lodge.
After lunch, we travel to Negara, where you will see the re-cycle industry which is managed by the native by using a very simple way to produce valuable goods made of unused metal. If the weather is allowed we may travel by motorized boat to visit swampy buffalo breeding in the mid of the lake.
In a beautiful view, buffalos are returning to their stable by swimming through a very spacious lake after getting food from away. The afternoon is backed ground by sunset panoramic we return to the jetty then return to Loksado.
Day 03: Loksado to Banjarmasin
Include Breakfast at the lodge, Lunch, and Dinner at a Local Restaurant, and Accommodation in Banjarmasin.
After breakfast, we leave Loksado and direct to Martapura. Again we visit one interesting place of Diamond & Precious Stone Gallery displays and offers multi-quality products.
After that, we will visit the State museum of Lambung Mangkurat with its collection of ancient inheritance goods from the Banjar Kindom era. After that, we proceed to Banjarmasin and have accommodation at the hotel.
Day 04: Banjarmasin Departure
Include Breakfast at Hotel.
Early in the morning, we leave for the jetty and then travel by motorized boat through the Martapura river to reach the giant river of Barito where the Floating Market is located.
Your boat will interact with other canoes which are rowed by ladies & housewives wearing traditional cloth. You also may try a kind of local food or cakes sold on canoe.
After that, we visit Kambang delta island in the mid of the Barito river with its hundreds of tame monkeys. Occasionally several people even still use this place for praying and giving offerings by bringing flowers (Kembang) based on animism faith, so that is why this island is called Pulau Kambang (Flower island). Next, we return to the jetty and drive to the airport for departure.
